A local would say...

A blind man's broom workshop became a hiding place — and the man running it wasn't Jewish, just decent.

A small museum set in the original workshop of Otto Weidt, a German broom and brush maker who employed blind and deaf Jewish workers and worked to save them from the Nazi death camps. The space is preserved almost exactly as it was, making it one of the most intimate and affecting memorial sites in Berlin. Located within a Hinterhof (inner courtyard) accessible only if you know it's there.
