Types of Walking & Location Data

  • Real-time location: Used for proximity-based notifications (nearby points of interest) and active tour navigation. Processed locally on your device when possible.
  • Place interactions: Places you mark as "visited", "want to visit", or rate.

Consent & Control

  • Each type of data collection requires separate opt-in consent through your account settings.
  • You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection but does not automatically delete existing data.
  • You can request deletion of all walking and location data through your account settings or by emailing us.
  • Public display of statistics (leaderboards, profile stats) requires additional opt-in consent.

International Compliance

  • EU/EEA users (GDPR): Location data is processed under Article 6(1)(a) — your explicit consent. You have the right to data portability and erasure.
