The best-preserved Doric temple in all of Greece, built in 449 BC on the western edge of the Ancient Agora, surrounded by the ruins of ancient foundries and metalwork shops. Unlike the more famous Parthenon, this temple has survived largely intact — 34 columns still standing — giving a vivid sense of what ancient Greek architecture actually looked like.
