Artists painted the Wall from the outside after it fell — because for 28 years, the only side you could reach was the wrong side.

The longest surviving stretch of the Berlin Wall, now an open-air gallery of murals by international artists painted after 1989. Running along the Spree in Friedrichshain, it stretches over 1.3 km and can be walked end to end in under 30 minutes. The most famous mural — Brezhnev and Honecker's fraternal kiss — is immediately recognisable.
