A pastane in the middle of Kaş, on Bahçe Sokak in Andifli, that quietly settles the breakfast question. Order the menemen — it is the thing they do properly, soft and eggy rather than the thin watery version you get talked into elsewhere. Around it runs the usual counter of poğaça, börek and simit, either taken away in paper or eaten at a table inside. What makes it worth the note is the bill: breakfast here costs a fraction of what the same hour runs on the harbour front, and it is no worse for it.
