A modest mosque near the site of Istanbul's first paper mill — Kağıthane literally means 'paper house.' The neighbourhood supplied paper to the Ottoman bureaucracy for centuries. The mosque marks the spot where industry and faith coexisted along the Sweet Waters of Europe.
