Three steel claws reach from the rocks into the Bay of Biscay — when storms come, water erupts through hidden vents in the cliff and the sculpture becomes a geyser of spray.

At the far western end of the Bahía de la Concha, below Monte Igueldo, sculptor Eduardo Chillida's iconic Peine del Viento (Wind Comb) installation anchors three abstract steel forms into the rocky shoreline. The sculptures interact dramatically with the Cantabrian sea and wind — on stormy days, waves crash up through hidden vents beneath them. The walk along the cliff from the beach to reach them is itself magnificent.
