Sometimes called the 'lungs of Madrid', this 17-sq-km stand of greenery stretches west of the Río Manzanares. There are tennis courts, a swimming pool, a zoo, an amusement park, and the Teleférico cable car with good views. It's been a madrileño favourite ever since its creation in 1906.
