Temple of Debod

Yes, that is an Egyptian temple in downtown Madrid. Saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser in southern Egypt, President Gamal Abdel Nasser sent it block by block to Spain as a gesture of thanks to the Spanish archaeologists who worked to save Nubian monuments. At sunset, the temple and its reflecting pool glow gold against the Madrid sky.
