The frescoed ceilings of this hermitage are one of Madrid's most surprising secrets. Recently restored and also known as the Panteón de Goya. The southern of two small chapels is one of the few places to see Goya's work in its original setting, painted by the master in 1798. Goya himself is buried here — minus his head, which was mysteriously stolen.
