Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona's central place of worship with a richly decorated main facade, gargoyles and stone intricacies you'd expect of northern European Gothic. The facade was actually added in 1870, while the rest of the building was built between 1298 and 1460. The cloister with its flock of 13 geese is a surprise — each goose represents one year of the martyrdom of Santa Eulàlia, Barcelona's co-patron saint.
