This is a real hole-in-the-wall spot. In fact, the owner, Mr. Tsuchiyama, literally blew a hole in the wall of his establishment so his guests could get a good view of nearby Tokyo Skytree while they drink. It’s this kind of dedication to his customers and shochu (he stocks one of the widest and rarest selections in the city) that keeps fans returning. “Himekura’s owner-chef Mr. Tsuchiyama is a true shochu savant.
