There’s arguably no other nation with a stronger affinity for the feline than Japan – so much so that Tokyo is home to a “lucky cat” temple. An unusual place, it’s populated by thousands of white-pawed waving figurines (the type you see outside Asian restaurants) that have been offered up by visitors.
