Follow the sound of hammering copper into a bazaar that the Ottoman Empire left behind and Sarajevo never gave back.

Sarajevo's Ottoman-era old bazaar is a labyrinth of coppersmith workshops, teahouses, mosques and covered passages where the sound of hammer on copper still rings out from dark workshops along Kujundžiluk street. The caravanserai courtyard of Morića Han, intact since the 16th century, offers respite under wooden beams with Iranian carpets for sale where camels once rested. Tito Cafe nearby has artillery pieces in the garden and stormtrooper-helmet lampshades, a perfect Sarajevo juxtaposition.
