Marmaris' narrow, pebbly town beaches allow decent swimming, but much better are İçmeler and Turunç (10km and 20km southwest, respectively). From late April to October, water taxis serve İçmeler (₺10, 30 minutes, half-hourly) and Turunç (₺12.50, hourly, 50 minutes).
