A delicate little palace on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus — built in 1857 for Abdülmecit as a hunting lodge and picnic spot. The ornate Italianate exterior belies its modest size. Best seen from a Bosphorus ferry — a white wedding-cake of a building framed by the water.
