A summer palace on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus, built in 1865 for Sultan Abdül Aziz. Its white marble facade rises directly from the water — best viewed from a Bosphorus cruise. The ornate interiors mix European and Ottoman styles, and the garden pavilions overlooking the strait are enchanting. Less crowded than Dolmabahçe, with equally impressive detailing.
