Military Museum

Come at 3pm and you'll witness something extraordinary — the Mehter Band, descendants of the Ottoman military musicians who once terrified enemies on the battlefield, perform in full regalia. The collection spans Turkish military history from chain-mail armour to Gallipoli, but it's the Mehter's steady, measured march and the haunting drone of the zurna that you'll remember long after leaving.
