A masterpiece of neo-Mudéjar architecture built for the 1929 Exposition. The grand semicircular plaza is lined with alcoves representing each of Spain's 52 provinces — each with a map, historical scene and tile bench. The ornate bridges over the moat, the grand central fountain, and the swirling ceramic details make this one of the most photogenic plazas in all of Europe. Boat rides on the moat are a local tradition.
