Sacromonte Cave Quarter

The primarily gitano (Roma) neighbourhood northeast of the Albayzín, renowned for its flamenco traditions and cave homes dug out of the hillside. It still feels like the fringes of the city, literally and figuratively, as the homes alternate between flashy and extemporaneous.
