Molinos de Campo de Criptana

Campo de Criptana's cluster of 10 windmills on the northern edge of town are older, some dating from the 16th century, and thus have more credence to support the myth that Cervantes used them as models for Don Quijote's 'giants'. The Barrio de Albaicín below is a pretty whitewashed quarter. Local legend maintains that Cervantes was baptised in the town's church.
