Overlooking the river, the Mercado de la Ribera is supposedly one of the largest covered food markets in Spain. It's had a recent makeover which has sanitised it somewhat, but many of the city's top chefs still come here to select fresh produce each morning. The ground floor has been transformed into a gastro space with excellent pintxo bars.
