The 'Sistine Chapel of the East' — the western wall's Last Judgment fresco in Voroneț Blue is one of the greatest works of medieval art. Built in 1488 by Ștefan cel Mare, the church's exterior is completely covered in 16th-century frescoes of extraordinary preservation. Chemists still cannot reproduce the famous blue pigment.
