One of the most beautiful wooden churches in Maramureș, built in 1643 with four small turrets surrounding the main steeple in the distinctive local style. The village of Budești itself is a bucolic scene of straw-hatted men, women in floral headscarves, and intricately carved wooden gateways opening onto cottage gardens stacked with firewood. The church's most prized treasure is an 18th-century painting of the Last Judgment.
