The largest Gothic church between Vienna and Istanbul, built by German Saxon merchants between 1383 and 1480. Its name comes from the 1689 fire that blackened its walls. Inside: a 4000-pipe organ, 120 Turkish rugs hung from the balconies (gifts from merchants), and the only Buchholz organ preserved in its original form.
