The first and finest building of the Amsterdam School movement (1916) — originally built for six shipping companies. Every detail is nautical: wave motifs, seahorse staircase railings, compass-rose floor mosaics. Now a luxury hotel, but you can walk through the lobby to admire the stained-glass windows.
