Birthplace of Eduard Douwes Dekker (pen name Multatuli), whose novel Max Havelaar exposed the brutal exploitation of Indonesian coffee farmers by Dutch colonists. A tiny but important museum about the book that changed Dutch colonial policy — and inspired the modern fair-trade movement.
