Rembrandt is buried somewhere here — but nobody knows exactly where. His grave is unmarked.

Amsterdam's tallest church tower (85m) with the imperial crown of Maximilian of Austria at its top — climb 186 steps for panoramic views. Rembrandt was buried here in 1669 in an unmarked pauper's grave (his exact location is still unknown). The carillon plays every 15 minutes.
