A local would say...
An entire medieval city abandoned on a hill, being slowly swallowed by wild flowers and olive trees.
A ruined medieval city standing on a bluff 4km northeast of modern Bar, where a cobbled entrance passage opens into an immense overgrown garden of vine-clad walls, abandoned streets, and ruins enclosing an 11th-century fortress with views of surrounding mountains and ancient olive groves. The ruins contain the remains of dozens of churches and mosques, many destroyed and rebuilt multiple times over centuries of Venetian, Ottoman, and Serbian rule. The wild vegetation growing through the ruins creates an atmosphere unlike any maintained archaeological site.
