Rafael Vinoly's architectural marvel looks like a glass ship plying urban waters, its eastern wing soaring with a hull-shaped glass atrium that catches light in mesmerizing ways. Take the lift to the 7th-floor catwalks to look down through the glass spine of the building and feel the scale of the thing. Twice monthly, the courtyard hosts the Oedo Antique Market, where you can dig through kimono fabric, ceramics, and Edo-era curiosities. The building is free to explore, making it one of Tokyo's best architectural experiences that costs nothing.
