Hand-making soba noodles since 1898, Ebisu-Honten is the kind of place where simplicity is the point. Order the cold zaru soba to taste the pure flavour of the buckwheat, or go for the tororo nameko with boiled mushroom and grated mountain potato in hot soup. The building itself is charming, with an interesting red-glass sign and white characters visible from the street.
