Tengoku means 'heaven' and this sprawling bathhouse lives up to the name with almost absurd generosity. You'll find seven different mineral springs under one roof, each purportedly beneficial for something different, plus several outdoor baths, all wrapped in a retro fantasy of pastel tiles, fountains and mirrors. It's attached to the Dai-ichi Takimoto-kan hotel but open to day visitors, and has more variety than any other bathhouse in the area. The sheer scale of it — room after room of steaming pools — makes for an afternoon you won't soon forget.
