A UNESCO World Heritage shrine dating from the 8th century, set within a long strip of ancient forest — Tadasu-no-mori — sandwiched between two rivers in the north of the city. The shady approach through the primeval Tadasu-no-mori forest is said to be a place where lies cannot be concealed. A good place for a peaceful stroll when you need greenery and space.
