The iconic bridge spanning the Katsura-gawa river at Arashiyama, with the forested mountains as a backdrop. The view of this bridge with its mountain setting appears in nearly as many Kyoto postcards as Kinkaku-ji. In summer, cormorant fishing (ukai) can be watched from its banks in the evenings. Boat rentals are available just upstream.
