Under a traditional thatched roof, you'll sit on the floor around irori charcoal pits and grill your own skewers of fish, meat, tofu, and mountain vegetables. It's an interactive, primal dining experience where the smoke curls around the dark timber beams above and the sizzle of your food becomes the soundtrack. The building itself, with its dramatic thatched roof visible from the road, is half the appeal.
