Gellért Thermal Bath

Budapest's most beautiful thermal bath complex built in a palatial Art Nouveau style with tiled mosaics, stained-glass skylights, and indoor and outdoor pools in a setting of ornate elegance. The thermal waters emerge at 43–44°C from springs beneath Gellért Hill and have been used for bathing since the Turkish occupation of the 16th century. Arriving early on a weekday morning reveals the full grandeur of the building before crowds arrive.
