A local would say...
The most remote inhabited island in Greece — closer to Turkey than to Rhodes — with harbour water so clear the boats look like they're floating in air.
Greece's most far-flung island, a mere 2km from the Turkish coast at Kaş. Crayola-coloured houses with tiled roofs, wrought-iron balconies, cobbled alleys and stone-arched entrances surround a crystal-clear harbour. The quality of light here — barren rock contrasted with aquamarine sea — is stunningly photogenic. Used as the film location for Mediterraneo (1991).
