Uncle Pepe vs Apple: Tio Pepe

Since 1960, at the top of the building where the Apple Store on the Left Square is located, over the years the illuminated Tio Pepe billboard, a symbol of the square, was standing. Tio Pepe is a famous sherry (jerez) drink brand produced in Andalusia. When the Apple company bought the building in 2014, it wanted to lift the billboard, but the people resisted it by showing resistance. Finally, a middle way was found, and the billboard was placed on top of another building overlooking the square.
