This park, which means “Park of the Pleasant Retreat”, is one of the largest parks in the city of Madrid in Spain. The park, belonging to the Spanish monarchy until the end of the 19th century, was opened to the public after this date. The Fallen Angel statue is said to be the only sculpture devoted to the devil on Earth, near the Rose Garden. The park is also home to the 400-year-old Mexican conifer tree (ahuehuete), Madrid’s oldest tree.

Türkçe’ye “Keyifli Bir Sığınak Parkı” olarak çevrilen bu park, İspanya’nın Madrid şehrindeki en büyük parklardan biridir. 19. yüzyılın sonlarına kadar İspanyol monarşisine ait olan park, bu tarihten sonra halka açılmıştır. Gül Bahçesi’nin yakınında, Dünya’da şeytana adanmış tek heykel olduğu söylenen The Fallen Angel heykeli vardır. Ayrıca bu park Madrid’in en eski ağacı olan, 400 yaşındaki Meksika Kozalaklı Ağacına da ev sahipliği yapmaktadır.
